I could continue but its better to retire

Six times world and Olympic medalist, Alireza heydari, participated in 28th international freestyle wrestling tournament "Takhti Cup" and at his first competiton faced Jafar Daliri. Heydari dominated Daliri by two take downs and one gut wrench but in an unexpected decision kissed wrestling mat and said goodbye to wrestling. While he was crying, moved around the hall on shoulders of his friends and 6000 fans shouted his name.

"I could continue but I thought its better to retire. Many thought that I want to wrestle in Olympic in any way but I trained hard to say that I am better. Some ones said bad things about me but I wrestled in Takhti Cup to say that I am not timid and I am still brave." Alireza Heydari said.

"I showed that I am not at the end of my job, at least I proved this to myself. I was injured but it was not important. I went to Kermanshah to wrestle even with one hand. I could win Olympic medal. I don’t see any doubt about that. I proved myself and now continuing wrestling is not important for me.  It's better to leave 96kg singlet for young wrestlers."
